The Idaho home once owned by convicted murderer Chad Daybell is now on the market for $350,000.
Daybell was sentenced to death earlier this month for the murders of his first wife, Tammy Daybell, and his second wife’s two children.
His second wife, Lori Vallow Daybell, was also convicted in the murders of her two children, Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 17, in 2019. The bodies of the two children were found on this property in June 2020, buried in an area where the Daybell family had also buried deceased pets.
Located in Rexburg, ID, the four-bedroom, 1.5-bath home has 1,644 square feet of living space and sits on just under 4 acres of land.
The listing on Realtor.com advertises it as a ‘home with lots of potential’. But it comes with a warning too: ‘THERE IS A VERY TRAGIC SITUATION WITH THIS HOME, please HAVE YOUR REALTOR INVESTIGATE FOR YOU.’

Property records show Daybell signed over the home’s ownership to his attorney, John Prior, in 2021, probably to help defray his legal costs.
Potential buyers would have to get past the gruesome history of the ranch-style home built in 1960, and then there would be decisions to make. They could opt to rehab the dwelling where Daybell and his family once lived, or they could raze it—as has been done with other homes connected to horrific crimes.

Available pictures show basic interiors and a mostly white paint scheme in the living room and kitchen. The kitchen has a window over the sink and a small island.
There appears to be a tiled hearth in the main living area, but a TV is placed in the middle so it’s not clear whether there’s a working fireplace. Apparently, there’s room for an upright piano and two easy chairs.
The killings of the children were apparently carried out as part of a “doomsday” plot. Though Daybell was sentenced to death, execution could take years due to the long appeals process and the rarity of executions in Idaho.
